Onion's Many Rpg's + Mizuko's Adventure

    I've decided to start periodically uploading some of the Rpg's that I make. I currently use RPG Maker VX to make all of my games. I am very unorthodox however; I think I've only actually made like 1 or 2 actual RPG's with this program. Most of the games I make are shooters, mystery type games, random fun games, and other games that I just wanted to try making just to see if it could even be done in RPG Maker VX.

Tondemonai Fansubs Status

    Today I finished the preliminary translation of episode 8 of Animal Detectives Kirumin. Episode 8. The thing is, our last released episode was episode 5 over a month ago. Meh, I'm not complaining... I'm really just angry with myself that I'm so horrible at translating. Our TLC's are mostly busy with school, and until they have time to do their part, we can't release. (Also, we used our only Clephas item already T_T)

   So far, my idea to translate at least 5 minutes of an episode a day is working, and I'm quite happy with that. When I'm not translating, I'm listening to this:

BlazBlue -Continuum Shift- [PS3/360][Review]

I am not a huge fighting game fan, but when I decided to take the plunge and buy Calamity Trigger I was surprised to say the least. Now that Continuum Shift has released I decided that I should probably pick up this one as well. Blazblue -Calamity Trigger- is 1.0, Calamity Trigger Portable was 1.5, but can we say Continuum Shift is 2.0? Will new characters and game modes make you feel that it was worth purchasing a new game or will does it feel like it should have merely been some dlc? Well let's find out.

Oh and you may have noticed I purchased this on the PS3. You may be asking yourself why, what makes this better on the PS3 over the 360. Well the reason is that I like using the d-pad for fighting games, and the 360's d-pad is absolutely horrible.

Tondemonai Fansubs Revival

    Today I posted a very long and awesome post on the Tondemonai thread over at Baka-Wolf. Tondemonai Fansubs has been taking it easy lately and I'm trying to change that. I set my self a schedule that has me translating at least 5 minutes of anime per day in an attempt to keep myself perpetually active.

    And to make it more fun, I gave SealedTime permission to ban me from Baka-Wolf for an undisclosed amount of time if I fail to translate on any given day. I can sense that Tonde Subs is in for a grand Revival. Thanks for the encouragement everybody! Kodocha (Kodomo no Omocha) Ep #60 Thoughts

I had recently aquired  the second half of the series Kodocha (Kodomo no Omocha). I originally began watching the show on the Funimation Channel block on Colours TV on Dish Network around 3-5 years ago (I forget exactly but it was somewhere in that time frame). I instantly fell in love with it, so I bought the boxsets, and even the babbit boxset. Unfortunately Funimation only licensed episodes 1-52 so I would never get to see the second half of the series. Anywhoo as I said I am currently watching  episodes 53-102, and I just wanted to give my thoughts on a certain episode, to be more specific, episode 60.

There are times when watching an anime that you go "Ah so this is why I fell in love with this series!" This episode was one of those moments. I can't believe how moving this episode is, how amazing this episode is, how brilliant this episode is. I instantly fell in love with the series all over again. Seriously.

This is one of those shows that is a 10/10 for me, and is one of my absolute favorite shows of all time.

Funimation, get your head out of your ass and license the second half already. If you have money to piss away on Dance in the Vampire Bund (a shit show btw)  then you can atleast have the decency to get the other 52 episodes of this series. I would love to see Laura Bailey play Sana once again, but even if you just released it subtitled, I, as well as other fans, would buy the dvd's in a heartbeat.

So What Now?

I actually drew something today, it was the first in about a year. I gave up spectacularly about halfway through >.>  I guess I fail. I mean I didn't even get around to making the parts I finished look not as rough. Oh well, I wouldn't call it my finest piece anyways.  Oh yeah, and when I say the first in almost a year, I mean my first REAL drawing, I screw around drawing chibi blobs all the time but those don't count.

Hell I even started drawing a few pages of 4koma but alas I also gave up midway. As soon as something doesn't look right I get frustrated and say to hell with this!!

On another note, I think I am going to stop being lazy and maybe post something worthwhile one of these days. Since my lil vacation I have become somewhat lazy. This place has felt somewhat dead recently, but in reality we have already posted a bunch of stuff this month.  I guess I only feel that way because I haven't been hanging out on here as much as before I went on my trip.

What else, what else, I must fill up more space.

Give me a subject, I shall make a 4koma out of it. Not to steal Onion's thunder or anything, I am just a very bored person right now.

Dub Review #01: Clannad

As you all may know, I am not a huge dub fan. There are a few shows I actually prefer the dub and others I think are just watchable. Most of the time, however, I cannot stand them.  Anyways, starting today I think I would like to occasionally write reviews on various dubs. Onion's Great Return

    After about ten days, I've finally returned! As you probably know I've been in Florida on vacation with my parents, sister, and brother. I had fun, y'know, nothing super exciting or extra boring. It was right in the middle.

   Anyway, as you can imagine, I've got lots to say now that I'm back and I'm going to use this post to outline what I'll be posting about in the next few days.

• I plan to post a full walk through of my vacation. 
• That episode 3 of Rainy Day should be releasing soon, but who knows.
• I did some hilarious drawings in Florida, and that will appear in my Weekly Gallery this Friday.
• I'll also be doing a short review of Fullmetal Alchemist Brotherhood which I finished over in Florida.

Chou Jigen Game: Neptune

    I don't have that much of an idea what this game is about, but the cute characters and all girl cast drew me in. Apparently the girls are supposed to be anthropomorphic versions of different consoles



    Kyaa~ Amiami has the limited edition version that comes with a tote bag, soundtrack cd, 40 page art book, and an exclusive Amiami telephone card. I just don't know if I feel comfortable buying a $100 game though T_T

Going on Vacation

    Well, what are the odds... Otaku is on a seven month leave. Atvrcr is going on a road trip, and I'm going on vacation to Florida. Atv-Oni-Ota will temporarily become Muz-Pan lol.

   I'll be going to Florida on this Sunday at around 1:00pm and returning in like ten days I think. This is my third time going to Florida, and it will be the longest time I've been there. The only bad thing is that I've got to sleep in the same room with my family who goes to bed at 11pm while I go to sleep at around 4am every day T_T. Hopefully I can spend the few hours alone watching Fullmetal Alchemist Brotherhood on my ipod if I can get it to convert correctly :D

    I don't know if I'll have a laptop with me or not, and even if I do, I don't know how much the place we're staying at charges for internet time, so it's a mystery of whether I'll be able to visit the blog or not. Until then, farewell.

Going on a Roadtrip

Rainy Day: Episode 2 - Intro

    Well, I wanted to release these on a weekly basis, but after I released the first one I got lazy and went on a two day break. But, Saitei Oni worked hard to finish the coloring and inking quickly so that we could release it now. I plan to go on a weekly schedule now. Also, I forgot to mention this last time: This 4koma is read from right to left, and in a counter-clockwise fashion.

Queebel?!

    Apparently, there's a new language so out there, that it's... well, it's pretty much useless nonsense. Nonetheless, some people have taken it upon themselves to dub an anime snippet of Kanamemo in this Queebel language and have proceeded to insert subtitles from a completely rewritten script. It's actually very funny.(moronically funny) O_O

The uploader of the video describes it as such:

A dub done in Queebel, by my sister and I. There are subs to go along with it as well, but it is a complete re-write of the original script; such is the nature of Queebel.

    The uploader fails to mention that Queebel is pretty much a 'language' consisting of various sounds that are akin to that of clearing ones' throat or grunting.

Watch it to the very end, it's quite different and enjoyable.

A Final Farewell

    Well people, it has been a journey, but it is time for my Sabbatical (or being a poor ass with no money for the internet). I have enjoyed these last few months with you. Doing "Otaku Talk", chatting with you on IRC and the blog, and making fun of your opinions and making enemies of most of you. :P

    But, all good things must come to an end, or at least take a rest. And it is my turn. When I first started doing this blog, we had no followers and just a couple dollars in our pockets, and now look at us, exactly the same. :P But working with Onion, Atvrcr, and MuzicFreq has been such a fulfilling experience. I've enjoyed their posts and insights. But fear not people, I will most certainly be returning, and for my Fans (Bosch) I will not be shaving for the next 7 months either. So you'll be able to enjoy even more beard.

    I want to acknowledge some people and places for there roles as inspiration in my Otaku Lifestyle. First off is Baka-Wolf (R.I.P.?). Without this site I would not have been able to meet my fellow Japanese entertainment connoisseurs. Next is the whole of Rizon Network on IRC. without your enthusiastic motivations toward anime, I could not be able to watch/read/play the things that I do today. People Specific on IRC i would like to mention is Bosch, ergZay, Jecht, Lobs (Freenode), Maru (freenode), commander`A (Ryuumaru), Sunny (Hina-Subs), And alot of people on #NEWS. without your helps, I could not do what I can.

    So without any further Adieu, I bid you all farewell. It has been a fun ride, but now I must get off and go back to the end of the line. See you again in Seven Months. O/

One of My Favorite Clips

    Otaku Supreme told me he was downloading Strawberry Panic and I was suddenly reminded of one of my favorite clips ever. It takes place in episode 5 where the new girls are picking their clothes up and getting assigned rooms and one of the girls suddenly does a face plant onto the desk. When I first saw this, I watched it over and over just because it's such a funny scene. Enjoy~

Make Sure You Look Around!

Well.... this is embarrassing. I thought I had searched BakaBT for a particular torrent, but didn't see anything connected to it. So I decided to go to another website and just get the torrent. It started off slow and went slow the whole time. Well tonight I was going around and looking for trackers for this torrent so maybe I could get better speeds. Lo and Behold, after downloading this torrent for a week now and at 80%, I find out that BakaBT has this torrent but with a different fansub group. So I say, "Hmmm... I will download this and see if it goes any faster." When I clicked resume on the BakaBT torrent (I have torrents paused by default)... IT SHOOTS TO 150 KB/s (about 20 KB/s below my max.) Needless to say, I was pissed, so I canceled the other download and deleted the files. Now this BakaBT torrent will be done before the other torrent was supposed to be, even at 80%. Moral of the story is, DOUBLE CHECK DOUBLE CHECK DOUBLE CHECK. That is all.
